Why Do We Get Fat?

We eat food to give us the energy that we need and to make us strong. But if we eat too much food, and do not use all the energy it gives to us, will be stored in our body and turn to fat. If you don't want to get fat, then you should eat the right foods and just enough to give you the energy that you will use during the day. You must get exercise for your body; you cannot eat and eat, then stay inside in front of the television. Cutting out lots of fattening foods such as butter, ice-cream, and bread will also help to keep your weight under control.

Between 5-25 percent of children and teenagers in the United States are obese. I believe that this is because parents have relied on fast food to fill their children's tummies up.

This site below is excellent in that it explains why children need to eat right, and how parents can make sure that they do.  http://www.yourchild...com/nutrition/feeding.htm
